Customer Reviews

The product is amazing and the installers that came over were very professional. They removed all the carpet, cleaned the floor, and installed the new wood flooring all in one day. The work they did was clean and very neat. I am definitely going to be calling them back for future renovations.

The installation of the hardwood floor was excellent. We are super happy about the entire process. Mouna was an excellent salesperson who add a humanistic approach. Thanks Mouna.

The floors are beautiful, and they did the whole thing (2 bedrooms, a hallway, and 3 closets) in about 6 hours. The master bedroom closet shows you how beautifully finished everything is. The sales agent, Marilyn, was also excellent, and the price was astonishingly good – I paid as much for hardwood as others were quoting for laminate.

Why Choose Hardwood Flooring?

While hardwood floors are typically considered a design feature, they can also be thought of as an investment with a high return on investment (ROI) thanks to their longevity and resale value. This sustainable flooring requires less energy and water in production and can be recycled if you ever choose to swap it out for a different flooring solution.

Hardwood floors offer several other benefits like durability, easy maintenance and a classic look.

Extremely Durable

When you properly maintain your hardwood floors, they last for many years. Hardwood flooring can handle the frequent footfalls of heavy traffic, weathering and the wear and tear of home life. The finish on the floors keeps them looking new and adds another layer of protection.

Even when hardwood floors get dented or scratched, they can be refinished to look as good as new. If an area is damaged, you can replace the wood in that spot alone rather than making changes to the entire floor. So, take some time and check out our hardwood flooring products that will last a lifetime.

Easy to Maintain

You won’t have to do much to maintain the look of your hardwood floors. In fact, too much cleaning can damage them. A regular maintenance schedule will involve sweeping and vacuuming the floor to remove dirt, pet dander and dust. Hardwood flooring resists stains and spills, so you won’t have to worry about deep cleaning.

Classic Look

The variety of wood species available gives hardwood flooring countless appearance options. This variance makes it easy for you to find a style that aligns with your decor elements, including paint colors, patterns, furnishings and fixtures. Its versatility ensures your floors will never go out of style.

Hardwood Flooring Options

In addition to choosing from the different species we have, you can choose between different types and sizes of hardwood flooring. The two types of hardwood are engineered and solid.

Hardwood Flooring Types and Sizes

The main difference between solid and engineered hardwood is their composition. Engineered hardwood has a plywood core with a thin layer of hardwood on top. It’s practically identical to solid hardwood in appearance, more affordable and more resistant to humidity and temperature fluctuations.

Sizes: 3 in., 5 in., 7 in., 9 in. and 12 in.

Types: wire-brushed, hand-scraped, distressed and smooth

Solid hardwood flooring consists of solid wood planks that are at least half an inch thick and come in various sizes. You can create a unique look in your home with solid hardwood. There are many light and dark woods to choose from. Regardless of the type of solid hardwood you choose, it will last a long time, increase your home’s resale value, offer a timeless look for any room and only require simple maintenance.

Sizes: 3 in., 5 in., 7 in., 9 in. and 12 in.

Types: Walnut, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, Hickory and more

What to Consider When Choosing Hardwood Flooring

To ensure you enjoy your floor for years to come, consider appearance along with these factors:

  1. Lifestyle and traffic: Your lifestyle can play a role in what kind of wood flooring you should go with. Households that frequently entertain or experience high traffic will need a harder wood to keep the floor from becoming scratched and dented. If you’re installing wood flooring in a less frequently used room, a softer wood may be a great solution.
  2. Children and pets: Children and pets can also damage softer woods. From pet nail scratches to toddlers throwing toys around, both pets and kids can cause floor damage to the wrong flooring. Fortunately, you can install a harder wood that holds up and continues to look its best no matter who is playing in the space.
  3. Species of wood: Species of wood can be divided into domestic and exotic. Domestic woods include cherry, maple and oak, while exotics include teak and jatoba. The appearance and price of the wood can vary based on the species. Exotic woods are harder to acquire, making them more costly.
  4. Solid or engineered wood: Solid hardwood can be sanded down and refinished repeatedly. This feature will be beneficial if you expect many scratches and dents. Keep in mind, however, that solid wood is affected by humidity, so it doesn’t work well in moist environments like below-grade basements. Engineered wood, on the other hand, has a base of high-density plywood with real wood glued on top. While the top is thin, it does work better in moist environments compared to solid wood flooring.
  5. Pre-finished or unfinished wood: Pre-finished woods are already stained, while unfinished woods are raw. With pre-finished flooring, a professional will be able to install it right away. Unfinished flooring products will have to be sanded down, stained and finished before they can be installed in your home. Because of these additional steps, unfinished flooring will add more time to the installation process.
